PA-CF (Carbon-Filled Nylon) for Track Aero Parts

Stiffer carbon-filled nylon for high-load splitters, undertrays and track aero when PETG or ASA is not rigid enough.

PA-CF combines nylon toughness with carbon fibre fill for higher stiffness. It suits functional aero that sees load and heat, at a higher price and with stricter print drying requirements.

We confirm PA-CF only when the use case justifies cost and handling.

Best for

Track splitters, stiff underbodies, brackets and parts where flex is unacceptable.

Avoid when

Budget street lips with mild duty — ASA or PETG usually win on cost.

Print notes

Filament must be dry; expect longer lead times than PETG/ASA on complex geometries.

Is PA-CF street legal / safe outdoors?
It can be used outdoors, but UV and moisture behaviour differ from ASA. We often recommend ASA for year-round parked street aero and PA-CF for stiffness-critical parts.
Why is PA-CF more expensive?
Material cost, drying, and print parameters drive price — often +50% or more versus PETG.
Can I mix ASA cosmetic covers with PA-CF structure?
Yes for some assemblies. Ask at quote so we design the join and fasteners correctly.
